History
Highlands Education International was founded in 1982

"One of the most rewarding experiences in life is to invest in the life of another. Highlands Education International is committed to the education and training of a child from early childhood through the college years. This developmental approach starts with building a solid foundation in preschool where basic principles are taught in a loving, fun, nurturing environment."

The Vision

In 1981, while teaching at the University of Ife, the family took a vacation to the Mambilla Plateau (then Gongola State) in Taraba State. We all fell in love with the sheer beauty of the place and the "breath of fresh air" from our normal lives. We also saw a genuine need for educational facilities.

Upon returning to Ife, we sensed God's call to live and work on the plateau. Thus, Highland Education was born in 1982. We began to form a network of others who shared the vision and desire to invest in the lives of children for a better tomorrow. The beauty of Mambilla naturally awakens the creative spirit and is an excellent place to study and learn. Highlands will also develop institutions in other areas.
